94 FD cranks but no start

Hi!

So I just got her back together again after replacing the fuel pump and fuel damper. Now that I have fuel and no leaks but she still won’t start. If I spray some starting fluid in the intake she will fire off on that for a second or 2 but doesn’t stay running. Please help with ideas and any wiring diagrams the diagrams I have are very rough hard to read and don’t provide wire colors.

At least one injected works because I forgot to turn the key off when probing them grounded it out and it came on and sprayed I could hear it. But I don’t think they are working when I crank it. Where can I check for power or ground at the PCME to make sure the PCME is actually turning them on and off?

I went through the same thing when I replaced mine and read a few other posts where this happened.
On mine, the rubber sock that goes over the hard line "cup" on the fuel pump was slightly warped. I followed another thread where you cut the "cup" on the hardline off and replace it with fuel hose from the pump to the hard line itself.
fixed the problem. Spent 3 months trying to find out what was wrong before I found the thread.

Not quite sure what your talking about. My car sat for years so did he new motor so there’s a lot that could be keeping it from starting. I know it’s got plenty of fuel flow cuz when I jumpered the pump to check for leaks it works great. Not sure about fuel pressure I don’t have a tester for that. I’m pretty sure the injectors are not firing if I put a screwdriver on it and listen I hear no ticking of the injector opening and closing. Could be wiring issue or fuel pressure? I also haven’t check the crank sensors yet as they are hard to get to but they are next on my list to check off. I also haven’t done a compression test cuz I don’t have the tester I’m assuming it’s good cuz the motor was never run I injected it with oil really well and turned it slow it spun freely. It’s done some cranking trying to start but as the engine has never actually been run I want to keep the cranking to a minimum until it does run.

At this point I’m troubleshooting it has a cranks but no combustion. Any thoughts ideas and or diagrams apriciated.

That black "cup" at top of the pump was slightly warped. Other people's O ring inside was warped. Either way, stops it from attaining fuel pressure, so then it cuts out. Fuel still gets to the engine, but cuts out under the slightest pressure. I cut mine at the cup, attached a fuel hose from the pump to the hardline direct. Voila, no more issues.

Ok fuel pump is new just installed it like a week ago but I will check anyway wasn’t hard to get to and my float is sticking anyway

Mine happened after I installed a new one too...
may not be the issue, but, after searching the boards, I found it had happened to a lot of people. Either O ring or the rubber sock/ cap.

So fuel pump looks fine and I can jumper it to stay on and the car still doesn’t start. But it will fire off for a second if I spray some starter fluid in the intake so it’s gotta be a fuel issue. I don’t have a pressure tester so I can’t test the fuel pressure I know it’s got good flow but no clue on pressure. I’d look at the injectors but it’s odd that none of them are firing 4 injectors going bad at once? Could the computer be killing the injectors for some reason? What would cause the injectors to not fire other then electrical I’ve already Checked power at the injectors it’s good and if I ground the injector out it will come on. Not sure what controls the ground for the injectors but that would be nice to know so I can look at that.

So tracked it down.... In the end it ended up being stuck primary injectors once I got them broke loose and spraying fuel everything worked.

thanks for the help!
