'91 That's Been Sitting for 2 years

I am new to the rotary engine and looking to buy a '91 NA that has been sitting for 2 years. What kind of work will it take to get this thing up and running? Any help is appreciated.

@ YEARS!!

ok before you try to start it make sure you check the oil level coolant level and all of the fluids.. make sure everything had fluid at the normal levels and top off as needed.. make sure all ther belts are ok and check the tension.. there shouldn't be more then 1\4 in of play if you press it with yout finger.. ok now starting it if its been sitting that long.
well make sure you have a fully charged battery
and remove the top 2 spark plugs from the engine
squirt a little ATF (auto transmission fluid) into the chambers..to loosen up the apex seals and the carbon lockup if there is any..ok then you have to clamp the fuel lines or stop the flow of fuel to the engine.. install the battery and crank it for about 6 seconds..this will get the ATF fluid around the housings without burning
stuff up and flooding the engine..then unclamp the fuel lines and try to start it.. you should get alot of smoke cause thats what happens to most rotarys if they have been sitting for a long time..
this should work if it dosent post a reply

Don't clamp the fuel lines, just unplug the egi fuse that is located in the fuse panel on the driver side fender well. You don't want break thse fuel lines. My best suggestion would be to change the oil before startup.Rather than using the atf use oil first. If only and only if that doesn't work then use the atf.I would also recommend doing a coolant flush. And change the fuel before starting and the fuel filter.

yep, if you wanna get the old fuel out, or you can do it the easy way and open the drain plug on the bottom of the gas tank :)
