89 t2 rough idle and backfiring

if I did this wrong or posted it in the wrong area let me apologize now im really not to sure how to work the site yet.

I have an 89 turbo 2 that I just recently removed most of the emissions stuff out of, I got the car back together and it ran fine, drove it for a couple days and nothing was wrong. went to a drift event and it drove great all day then on the last couple runs it didn't want to idle very well. after getting home from the event the car starts up fine but won't idle till it gets up to temp, once its up to temp it will idle but its very rough and low and the car pops and backfires constantly while idling.

I don't think its anything catastrophic only because the car starts up fine, doesn't smoke at all, once its up to temp and driving its smooth and has all the power its always had, its literally just the idle thats causing me problems.

any help is greatly appreciated thanks

compression test it, you can have a dead rotor, and the only healthy one will start it easily at times
