87 TII need help :(

So there are a few things that i'm not sure what is going on or if something is broken, relativetly new to rotaries.

First off, right now it has some sporaddic idle issues. it idles at around 750-900 rpm but bounces between there during idle, i have tried using my idle adjust screw to set it at a consistant 800 or so and nothing seems to work. I have replaced almost every vacuum line since i put this motor in and fixed the few vac leaks i found afterwards.

Second is that whenever i let the clutch out and give it gas without dropping the clutch at ~2500 rpm it will bog down and damn near die but then it will shoot right back up and go, i know thats not normal cause i haven't had that problem with either of the 2 i have.

Would this be a TPS/BAC/Loose ground issue?

emissions and all that good stuff have been removed and plugged off properly.

Any ideas?

Thanks

check these items in this order....

Vacuum leaks
Timing
Set Idle using BAC/Idle Screw on the back of the throttle body
TPS
Check all Grounds(Tranny, Main ground near driver strut tower, ECU ground(S) on the Center iron, start ground and battery terminals)

Grounds all seem fine and vacuum leaks are all fixed up. I think that it might be a boost leak cause when i get on it, it will pull and then the turbo spools up and it pulls again so i'm going to be checking for boost leaks tomorrow and see what i can find.

Symptoms are - bad throttle response, bad idle and it bogs down.

could be caused by a boost leak?

So there are the 3 vacuum nipples on back of the intake and my haynes manual isn't helping me for shit right now. The top one is plugged off(has been since i have had the intake) and the middle one goes to the vacuum spider. Where does the bottom one go? What does it do?

If i plug it with my finger the motor will bog down but it will stay running. can i plug that one off aswell?

I'm also noticing some unusual turbo lag when i drive it. I replaced a bunch of hose clamps today and triple checked everything and it seems to be good. The only thing that is left is that bottom vacuum line on the back of the intake.

Forget the Haynes manual and download the FSM from the following link. Surging idle is usually caused by a sticking BAC, TPS out of adjustment, vac leaks or combo thereof. If you haven't removed and cleaned the BAC, with brake cleaner, do so, then make sure the TPS and timing are set correctly.
