87 FC (s4) tune up?
Hi! Just bought an S4, It has 83,500 miles on it. I want to give it a good tune up but don't know where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions please.

You can look for these things in the search bar, theres a lot of of threads about giving tune ups, tune ups are changing oils (motor, tranny, diff, clutch), checking tired pressure, alignment, grounding, etc etc..

Thanks. I didn't see any specific stickies, I've poke around a bit so i'm guessing:
-oil change -differencial oil change -Tranny oil change -clutch oil change -coolant flush and fill -new plugs and wires. -new fuel filter anything else? |
You should purchase SpooledUpRacing's tune up kit...

Cool how much $$$, and where do I get it? :)
Have patience with the newb. ;) |
In addition to the fluid and plug changes, you should also check the function and setting of the throttle position sensor (see the factory service manual in the 2nd gen FAQ), and you should also check and adjust timing. Once these are done, go back and adjust idle speed to 750. Check compression. Replace the Oxygen sensor; Replace the thermostat (RX-7's hate high temps). Check the vacuum lines and replace ones that are old, worn or cracked.

Thanks! That's very helpful.
