86 gxl n/a clutch pedal problems

Hey Guys, I have a 86 gxl, and I have replaced the master, slave, and softline for my clutch. It worked great for a moment. After driving for a bit on the highway, I came to a stop and the pedal started sticking again, and I had to pump the pedal like 10 times before it would return on its own and work again. I don't know what else is going on, any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Also if I let it sit for more than 15min I have to pump it again and even then it will grind a gear.

Sounds like you still have air in the line. The clutch hydraulics can be a PITA to get all the air out

This happened to me too..
There is still air in your Clutch's Hydraulic system. You should get another person to pump the pedal and hold while you crack the bleeder on the slave to expel any air bubbles.
If your pedal sticks then get your buddy to pull it up manually until the hydraulics are free of air and the pedal will then pop up by itself.

*by the way, this system is not assisted by the engine so the "waiting 15 minutes' is just a coincidence but in no way has anything to do with the Clutch as it is just Master, line and slave..NO Vacuum.

Thanks guys, gonna rebleed it tomorrow and go from there. I'll update when I'm done.
