4 Rotor Dimensions

Anyone have any info on the dimensions of some of the custom 4 rotors that are lingering on this planet?

Or ANY info on who could give me that info?

This is pertaining to the main question of:
Could a 4 rotor take the place of a Chevy V8 engine location length wise.
Height wise, wouldn't matter. Plenty of space for that.

And for the curious little souls out there, this is simply a question that has bugged me for a long time in regards to a project I may not see for 5-10yrs. So no need to get excited bout it. :)

Well, as far as the dimensions for a custom 4rotor, I believe there's a place in Austrailia that makes kits that mate 4 13B housings together using their provided center irons, e-shaft, and bolts/studs. I really can't remember what the site is, but I'm sure someone will recognize what I'm talking about and help you out.

As far as length- probably longer than a SBC V8.

Would there be excessive e-shaft flex?

There are a few engine builders in New Zealand who could possibly help.
You could also get aprox measurements once you have decided on 12A or 13B rotor's and housings.

Monkman33, I really have no clue. But since there ARE several shops around the world creating them, I'm sure the problem has been looked into.

Toyo, thanks! If that is exactly how they are building them, then I'll be able to get a rough measurement.

Those people may be able to answer your questions.

The 4 rotor should fit easily in place of a large v8.

The total length would be aprox 700mm but yea if you want precise measurements try Warren at pulse performance.

They build quad rotor engines.

Oh WOW!! If they really are about 700mm....:D

Thanks guys for the info!

E-Shaft flex shouldn't be as big of a problem on a four rotor
since it always has two rotors perpendicular to each other.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it would act more like a
Subaru boxer engine at that point.
