3800 rev cut, probably secondaries?

heres the scoop basically its like im hitting a rev limiter at 3800 on my s4 turbo 13b that I swapped into the corolla.

things to note:

- stock ecu and wiring
- knock control unit is broke
- emissions, omp, and throttle body shit removed
- last time this engine ran was 10 months ago in an rx7 and it ran awesome, I havent changed timing since
- had injectors tested
- secondaries are getting power to them
- it idles and runs like a champ up to 3800rpm no problems till 3800
- at around 3800rpm its like a fuel cut rev limiter.
- and no I cant afford to buy a standalone right now so no point suggesting that unless its cheap cheap and ready to install

Do s4's have limp mode? what wires at teh ecu do I have to jump to be able to get the codes, as I do not have a diagnostics checker port thing, I will also have to wire in a CEL light as I am running a custom dash without one

If I think of more Ill add to the list.

im desperate I wanna drift on the 29th!! haaaaalp

Do you have an FCD? Can you free-rev it past 3800, or does it do it regardless of load? If no FCD, and it seems load dependent, you're probably hitting fuel-cut. At 8.6 psi, the stock ECU will cut fuel to the rear rotor to prevent over-boosting. A free-flowing intake/exhaust setup will easily overwhelm a tiny S4 wastegate and cause boost creep.

S4s don't have limp mode. You can pull codes like this: http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/article...odes/main.html.

Are you running stock AFM? Could also be TPS? I had a 88t2 and the TPS went bad and would not let my car go past 3800. But i have heard instances of teh AFM's too, just my 2 cents.

it has a fcd and it istn getting anywhere near 8psi maybe 3psi, it will still cut with no load.

Ive tried getting codes with that checker, but since I dont have the diagnostics port im just using the wires it says spliced right at the ecu, and its not working for me, the lights wont light up at all not even at first when i turn to "on" position. also ABR (pin 1c) isnt outputting me any 12v so ive jsut gave the tester 12v from another source and still nothing.
