hey have a look at this site it will help u out..

http://fc3s-pro.com/TECH/MODS/FUEL/fpump.htm

but the quicq answer is tht it probably wont or it will b pushing it...

use a Supra TT fuel pump, they can support a large amount of HP. How much I am not sure, but it should be plenty for a 7.

yeah but he dont got a Supra TT pump but a 300ZX pump

well if u look at the site the mk iv supra pump has the same pumpin power as the cosmo pump which the article says its good not great but good... but im guessing the 300zx TT pump would be very similar to the supra mkiv (Supra TT)...

so it would b probably good... (dont kill me if ur motor leans out and blows a rotor) but im sure u could go to some 300ZX TT site and find what the fule pump pressures are and compare to the chart in the link...

Yeah I am just throwing in my opinion in the matter. I don't know anything about the 300ZXTT pump. However I know what the Supra TT pumps can do. Just suggesting what I know and what I have knowledge with. I have friends with Supras and they swear by them. And I would use something that I know has proven its worth.
And you hit on my main point; it’s not worth a blown engine over the 300ZX pump that might be as good as the MKIV. We know what types of HP the Supra pump is capable of sustaining; therefore I would go with that.
Here is what RX7.com is selling. They state it can support 500RWHP, which is quite the hefty number. And its not going to set you back too much at all.

moral of the story kids is rather b safe than sorry :)

ROTARYFDTT 02-25-02 07:32 PM

haha precisely......

scott(pittsburgh) 02-25-02 07:36 PM

the reason i ask, is because that i know that Z's can handle like 700hp if not a lil more on a stock pump.. i was running about 450 on mine with no probs.. guess i need to find out what the 300zx pump flows

menace 02-25-02 09:16 PM

well if it can handle 700 hp then i dont think it would be a problem... (but find those figures just in case)

ROTARYFDTT 02-25-02 10:04 PM

I second that. Verify those figures before you put one in your car.

Weird. I'm familiar with Wade, and respect his knowledge, but....

Have you ever compared the size of some of these pumps? When I switched out the stock FD pump with a Walbro, I noticed that the Walbro was quite a bit smaller than stock. When you're dealing with a pump, in general you would think bigger is better. Then I heard two poor comments about the Walbro, from a Rotary Performance employee and from Dave at KDR. I decided to go with an OEM Supra TT pump, which is larger than stock and the largest that will fit in the stock location. All of this doesn't match up with the numbers shown in that link.

Am I missing something?
