2nd gen turbo: igniton timing
 
my motor doesnt run. it turns over but doesnt run. i think my timing my be way out. i think this cus when i did my engine swap, i had to remove the front cover, thuslosing the timing. how do i adjust the timing when the motor wont run. what do i need t adjust?

Turn your motor so the timing mark on the pulley is aligned with the timing mark on the front cover.
Then take the CAS off and align the notch with the other timing notch.

Also, here is the factory service manual http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/Technical_I...ice_manual.htm Download section ONE. About page 81 it installs the cas. BUT....If you do it this way, it is just somewhat close. The shaft on the cas will rotate some when droped into the hole. If you pay attention to what C.LUDWIG says in his post, you will see that you will be SPOT ON when you are thru. You shouldn't be more than a couple degree off at the most. Do it the factory way and chances are that you'll be off over ten degrees. Either method you still need a timing lite to finish up, but I do believe you'll see your gobs closer using the tips by C LUDWIG.
