It's supposed to be just like it is in the pic provided. The Yellow mark on the Main Pulley needs to be aligned w/the fixed pin first and when it does then you look at the alignment in the CAS.

the yellow mark is in line when i am checking CAS and attempting to remove

You don't have to remove the CAS to set it properly. If it needed adjustment then you just rotate it as necessary. If you had to remove it you could hit the side with a hammer to loosen it up.

I figured if i could turn it i might be ok but i didnt want to wail on it too hard. I will see how i do today when i am off work

This is a pic of what CAS looks like

satch 06-29-12 10:04 AM

It looks to be off just a bit.

snerRX7 06-29-12 10:25 AM

Will that little bit make a decent difference???

satch 06-29-12 10:36 AM

It could but you won't really know til you adjust it by a tooth to where it lines up just right. "If" it is slightly off the car will start, but tend to not run as smooth as it needs to.

snerRX7 06-29-12 05:01 PM

well i was able to adjust set CAS properly and now just sputters at 1600 rpm.

If you're comfortable w/the CAS position then you might want to see if the TPS measures out properly on the G/R wire when the engine is as hot as it can get.
