2nd gen NA wont start.....please help

this morning i got up to go to class and my car wouldn't start, it is cranking over nice and strong, when i crank it it does smell like gas near the front of the car so im thinking it has gas and isnt getting spark, keep in mind i drove the car just yesterday and it worked fine, thanks for any suggestions

Its probably flooded. Unplug the CAS, or the EGI fuse and crank over for 10-20 seconds then plug back in and try to start.

thanks for the advice, i tried that and it sounded exactly the same b4 and after.....i gonna take the spark plugs out and clean them up and try that i guess

Check fuel pump voltage, they're known to have grounding problems.

that car still will not start, this is a video of it turning over, when i tested a spark plug a flame shot from the spark plugs hole which seems to me then its getting gas and spark just fine, im fearing the worst of a bad apex seal, thanks for your help and i hope i get some more of it

in fear of a seal have you cheacked compression at all? it sounds more like its flooded though, pull the EGI fuse again crank it for 10-15 wait a min or two and do that a couple times see if any gas is coming out of the plugs

if so then its still flooded..we had this happen to a car and just put it into the shop and just left the plugs out for a couple days while we got new ones and once they went in we tossed on jumper cables and it started without trouble..

or as mentioned could be the fuel pump grounding aswell

hope this helps a little

alright its defiantly not flooded i tried the steps u both mentioned above multiple times and still nothing, im going to try to get a friend around whos better with electronics to check if the feul pump is grounding, im not all to sure on how to check that out.....thanks for all the help
