I have one out that I had 3d scanned and was working on reverse engineering. I'll try and post up a model/drawing.

FYI its actually 2 parts the gear and then a sleeve that the gear goes in and is bolted to the gear.

Also is the gear keyed to the second sleeve?

Yes keyed together as well as a press fit.

Is there really no oil feed to the stationary gear, because the machined adapter bit makes it look that way.

fritts 11-21-19 06:13 PM

I was trying to figure that out actually was planning on providing direct oil feed but couldn't figure out how that would work with the cutouts the way they are.

Basic drawings for the gear modification and gear carrier as well as SW models are below. BEWARE these are in progress and not complete and were only measured with calipers.

Yes you would think it would have a hole lined up with the gear so you could run direct oil feed to the bearing?
Also is this a front stationary machined down? Or something else?

fritts 11-21-19 08:41 PM

Yeah its a front stationary gear turned down.

Thinking of running a line down to the bearing carrier. Not sure if I could hardline it from the pedestal or not.

Yer I was thinking if just run a pipe down from the top similar to this set up

Yeah was looking at that as well. My worry being the sealing to the gear. Leaks could drive massive pressure drops.

yes true going to have to do some researching on that as well

fritts 11-23-19 07:52 PM

Thinking about doing an oring brass tube with a compression fitting. This would attach to a tig'd in angled plug like above. Getting the angle right on the mating hole in the bearing will be critical though.
