20b short crank stat gear
Hello.
i am chasing as much info as i can about the stationary gear modification on the center iron. and if anyone could help would be great. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...09348e75de.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...93b32f4591.jpg |
I have one out that I had 3d scanned and was working on reverse engineering. I'll try and post up a model/drawing.

Yes keyed together as well as a press fit. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...e258bafc9a.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...9bb9729cf6.jpg |
Is there really no oil feed to the stationary gear, because the machined adapter bit makes it look that way.
|
I was trying to figure that out actually was planning on providing direct oil feed but couldn't figure out how that would work with the cutouts the way they are.
Basic drawings for the gear modification and gear carrier as well as SW models are below. BEWARE these are in progress and not complete and were only measured with calipers. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_q...B287RSpGxnN1Hx |

Yeah its a front stationary gear turned down.
Thinking of running a line down to the bearing carrier. Not sure if I could hardline it from the pedestal or not. |

Yeah was looking at that as well. My worry being the sealing to the gear. Leaks could drive massive pressure drops.

Thinking about doing an oring brass tube with a compression fitting. This would attach to a tig'd in angled plug like above. Getting the angle right on the mating hole in the bearing will be critical though.
