1993 FD3s no start/hardly runs

so just got a FD and the owner who had it has let it sit for 6 years. because supposedly a "mechanic" said the apex seal were bad. anyways got it home and pulled the trailing plugs sprayed wd40 into the rotor housings.. turned the engine over with the plugs out and got a constant Psst. sound from every power phase.. compression sounded great. also plugs looked horrible. cleaned the, the best i could and put them back in. tried to crank it and realized the fuel pump wasnt coming on. replaced the fuel pump and drained the gas and put about 4 gallons of new gas in. so the moment of truth. tried to start it again. and took about 10 times and finally fired off while the gas pedal to the floor. and sounded like it was misfiring from hell! and would have to hold the pedal about 1/8th of the way down to keep it running. we are going to put new plugs in it and try de-flooding it and hope for the best. is there anything else you guys can think of to help out my situation? remember the car has been sitting for 6 years. and has good compression.. maybe a leaky/faulty injector? it does smoke and smells like gas very bad. thank you for your time and sorry for any wrong sentences. i know there are some grammar nazis on her :)

okay just changed the plugs.. runs okay.. but kind of rough. and it is running extremely rich.. smoking very badly. Where is the map sensor and hose exactly located? to test if it was a vacuum i pulled the hose off the break booster and regulated the vacuum leak with my thumb..with my thumb off of the opening of the hose it ran worse and sounded like a bridgeport engine running on one rotor. so i put the hose back on. its hard to explain how it is running but at idle it sounds like a bridgeport engine idling. but when you give it gas it revs up fine and sounds normal. could this be IAC valve? but definitely going to need new injectors. i mean the car has sit up for 6 years for gods sake!!!!!!!!!

The map sensor is mounted on the firewall just inboard of the brake booster. It's black with an electrical plug on the side and a vacuum nipple on the bottom.

yeah found that someone unhooked the boost sensor.. RUNS LIKE A CHAMP!!!!! bought the car from a local for $2,000!! it just smokes like a freight train... look the charge piping off and took the inter cooler off... and found the smoking culprit which is usually 95% of the time. found oil in the bottom of the inter cooler. so ordering some used turbos tomorrow and get this thing rolling.

Great find, I would recommend new injectors as they will cause you problems sooner rather than later if they have sat that long.

Enjoy it.
