13brew rebuild stiff to turn

Hello i rebuilt my first rotary for my 1994 fd and have replaced all the hard/soft seals. I got the engine put together and im not sure how stiff the engine should be to turn by hand. Or if there is a total torque to rotate spec. I can turn it over with a 1/2 inch drive ratchet, but when i bought the car the engine wasn't making compression, so it was incredibly easy to turn. Im not sure how a rebuilt engine should feel. Any input is appreciated!

It should be a little stiff, with the spark plugs removed it'll be easier.
There's not going to be a torque spec since the resistance will vary depending on compression or how much assembly oil is inside.

With the plugs installed you should hear some quiet sliding from the apex seals moving along the housing then a puff out the exhaust ports.
If you turn it slowly you may not hear the puff.

welcome to the board. :)

it should definitely have some resistance to it now. a couple of important points to be aware of are:
- it should make 6 distinct pops
- it should turn the same throughout each rotation, meaning there should not be any spots where you can feel it snag or stick
