13b Troubleshootin
hello everyone.
i have a fuel injected non-turbo 13b, it has a high flow catalytic converter, and high flow can......whenever i go out for a ride, just behind the catalytic converter, the pipe gets red hot, and i was wondering if anyone knew what this might be from and how i could fix it???? |
what is this "high flow can" you have? brand? size? etc ...
|
the high flow can, is a "pilot" i believe, its one i picked up for about $100.....and its 2 1/4 inches......
|
Does this hight flow cat have the air tube for the air pump and have you checked your timing?
|
No...i dont think my air pump is even hooked up, now that you mention it....i just got the car, and im not familiar at all with rotary engines....

Cats don't last long without an air pump on a rotary due to the higher exhaust temps. If you don't need to pass emissions, it might be time to replace the cat with a good pre-silencer/mid-muffler.

Thanx
no i dont need to pass emissions, which is good, ill have to check into a mid muffler..... even though itll stink like a bastard....thanx
