13B problem

I ended up changing the motor in my 85 se for the second time. Well here is my problem: The motor cranks really-good But it seems to be getting to much fuel and the acts like it wants to start then it seems to be flooding out. The guy that worked on it awhile ago took the crank pully off and I don't know if he got it on there right. How can you tell if you got the timing right. I also had to buy a ecu for it no pulse to the injectors. Help me get my baby running I miss it.

Well, I would first start off by making sure that you have spark to leading and trailing plugs. If there is a loose connection to the igniter or a bad igniter on the trailing side, the ecu will not receive its pulses from the igition telling it to fire the injectors. As far as seeing if the pully is on right, turn the motor clockwise with you facing the front of the car until the first mark on the pully lines up with the needle on the front cover. Remove the leading spark plug from the front rotor housing and try to look in it with a mirror and a flashlight. The rotor face should be pretty much flat against the housing. Hope this helps some.

I had a very similar problem once, mine was a bad AFM. Worth checking...
