13B 4-port vs 6-port
 

Just wondering....if u had an NA 13B and u were planning to turbocharge it, which engine would u use and why? 4-port or 6-port?

Any opinions anybody....?

Use the 4 port because supposidly there is too much overlap of intake and exhaust with the 6 ports. all trubo motors are 4 ports for a reason i guess.

Well call me stupid! I thought that turbo motors from 86 onward were all 6-port! Aren't they? I'm confused now.....

All turbo motors wher 4 ports.. A 4 port engine can be ported alot more. . A 6 port can be ported, but not as far.. I would go with the 4 port.

I have heard of people putting turbos or superchargers on 6-port engines and using boost pressure to work the actuators... it takes 2psi for them to open. Sounds like a good idea to me! I dunno how strong the plates are compared to Turbo plates, though.
