1.3L flows ?
alright, I am unsure and therefore need to know whether the 13B flows 1.3L of air per Revolution or if it actually flows 3.9L of air per rev. The reason behind this thinking is that it is 654cc (0.65L) x 3 faces per rotor x 2 rotors = 3.9L...
damnit im not sure now. also.. what does an N/a 13b flow (cfm) ? @ certain Rpm's A quick reply would be great Daryl |
i think it's around 750 cfm at WOT, but it's in zbrown's supercharger thread in the 2nd gen forum. searchie searchie

All three rotor faces of each rotor are NOT ingesting air at the very same time.

It flows 1.3L per rotation of the main shaft. It flows the same as a 2.6L 4-cycle piston engine.
Find a formula for the flow of a piston engine, and use double the displacement (or drop the multiply-by-1/2 part of the formula) to get the correct flow numbers. The rotary is rated at 1.3L or 80 cubic inches, so just use 2.6L or 160 cubic inches in the formula. -Max |
