~3800rpm hesitation BAH!

How the hell do I fix this? I just installed my HKS PFC F-Con and all of a sudden the car hates me at around 3800rpm. I've heard of this problem before, but I can't seem to find a fix for it.. I've read it could be the exhaust or a missing ground, but no definate answer. Please help... if you can, please email me with your advice. Thanks in advance, Jordan

7th heaven... thanks man, I really appreciate your time... I'll concentrate more on the ground then.

Check search for hesitation...Plenty of threads.
Most common engine to firewall ground. Run wire from neg bat term to firewall ground by wiper motor. Others say ecu needs to be grounded...Run ground from ecu to firewall. Others say it could be in the wiring to the ecu. But if this just started after the installation I'd look more into that. The hesitation, naturally, is caused by the primary injectors dropping to @ 40 % ( don't quote me), and secondary injectors activating.I've never encountered this problem, so that's the best I can give you.

I use to have it... it can be caused by a lot of things. I don't know what I did to fix it, but I cleaned my injectors, re-wired my fuel pump, and set my TPS. After all that you wouldn't even know there was a 3800 RPM problem on these cars =)

This JUST popped into my head.. i've read a lot about the hesitation when the secondaries come on.. maybe the fuel pump can't keep pressure for that short instant.. perhaps it's just because it's old, or perhaps it's to do with the fuel pump being too laggy in it's design (can't really do much there)... but what i was thinking, if fuel pumps drew a lot of amps it might be a current problem? i wonder if a capacitor would do anything (just a 2 cents thing to just think about)

I have the hesitation, also. But I noticed that it is worst before the engine is warmed up. When the car is nice and hot, I hardly notice it. I ran an 8 ga. ground from the throttle body to the battery - terminal. Helped a little with the hesitation, but the idle smoothed out a little and my mpg's went up.

thanks for all your help, i really appreciate it. does the wire really have to be that thick opelbits? for all the grounds? i was just going to use a 12-14ga wire for that..
