Here is the WG arm he did, he re-shaped the arm then threaded the end of it, then he added a propper linkage that can be adjusted in and out on the threads to hold the WG cover tightly flush.
Here is the result, an ajustable WG cover that now has NO play in it, and is entirely flush .. when I took pictures of the old turbo the WG apeared flush before... but when you take the back cover off .. you could tell there was play in it.

and here is the final culprit, the pice of **** 15 deg. clip on the old turbine. This was replaced with a brand new turbine, no clip at all ... I also had him replace the bearings, and all the gaskets. He also recinforced the the conection of the T04 housing to the exhaust side, he did not like the cheasy way they were connected.
I hope my efforts help someone else out along the way.

Looks like a beautiful job, I am glad it worked out, when the weather gets better and I have time I am gonna switch out those manifolds, if that still doesn't help, looks like I'll be going down you're route Rob

Robert.
I didn't recieve any phone calls telling me of your boost problem. I did not see any attempt of you contacting me telling me your problem. I would have been more than happy to fix the problem for free, all you had to do is ask.
I haven't had any problems with a 15 degree clip. I have been doing them for 6 years now. Your problem was in the actuator linkage. I appologize about the problem.
With the stock turbine wheel, be very careful. Boost creep will be an issue.

I am not even going to go above stock boost (current stage 1 setup) untill I get my WB02, last thing I want to do it blow the damn thing after all this work. So, 6 PSI until January
But a very responsive 6 PSI

Intersting, every turbo set-up is different!
I can't believe you don't have incredible boost creep.
Bryan is currently putting a "P" trim in mine.
Anyways, congradulations of getting it spooling! It must feel awsome to have it finally boosting the way it should!

Not sure why I don't get creep, or at least have not noticed creep yet.
Setzep, Rpeck's mods were-
Self rebuilt & large RB street ported 13BT
BNR Stage 3 Turbo, 15 deg. clip, T04B housing, ported WG & TH
80PSI OPR W/ High flow oil pump
3" Racingbeat Downpipe, Apexi True Dual N1 Custom 3" Catback
Custom made cold air box, 3" polished TID & cone intake setup
Apexi S-AFC
TurboXS Dual stage HP Boost controller
Greedy 720cc Primary Injectors, RC eng. 1000cc Secondary Injectors
E.L. Prototypes ECU Upgrade 2 chips
ACT Street/Strip Z65-HD00 Clutch W/SS line
14# Racing Beat Lightweight Steel Flywheel
ReWired Walboro 255L/H Fuel Pump
TurboXS Blow off Valve Type-H
Halmeter AF30 Digital A/F Guage
Crane Cams HI-6 Fireball CD Ignition
KOYO 53mm Aluminum Radiator
I think the only things changed is now it is zero clip on the exhaust wheel and he has an adjustable tension wastegate rod.

I just went for another couple of runs today .. I upped stage one on my controller to 8PSI, and it stuck right at 8. It seems to be bleeding the boost perfectly, the WG is ported rather large, with a whole new cover on it. You just can't imagine how happy i am to be hitting boost so early, and seeing dual 2 Ft flames reflect off the cars behind me!!

One reason for boost creap is due to the S4 turbine and the one small hole at the flapper door. The S5 has two holes one larger than the other.
This turbine also had the holes made larger which will enable a more stable boost pattern. I have never had problems with boost creep on a 89 or above car. I have had boost fall of due to lots of play in the flapper door and weak actuators but never overboost.
I think the problems Robert had are common on the later model FC's and It sounds as if he has them fixed now.

yes, with a stock s4 turbine wheel in a stock housing and a ported wastegate, combined with the stock TMIC/AFM/etc, i would be surprised if he saw creep.
but i bet it chokes up top at the boost levels you'll run up top. taken it past 8psi yet?

But it hit's 8 in a heart beat, and holds there all the way to redline. I don't think I will have any problems reaching ~12-13 which is pretty much my goal. I'm going with a FMIC in January also, then I'm done with this damn thing
