I suggest you guys make your voice heard here: https://www.rx7club.com/vendor-relations-260/someone-deleting-my-threads-825793/#post9040071 by expressing how tired you are of having to start from scratch on multiple GBs because someone is misusing their Supermod/Admin status to delete my threads without authorization...

Thanks,
~Ramy

Highwind 03-13-09 09:54 AM

Geez this is insane. Is there really some mod consipiracy to shut down GB's in this section?

gsl-se addict 03-13-09 10:00 AM

Ramy,

That section is only able to be accessed by mods or vendors, so the others in this thread won't be able to see it. I'm also looking into the issue and will let you know if I find anything.

fitzrx7 03-18-09 09:49 PM

So what is going on with the Spirit R key GB?

PDViper77 03-18-09 11:45 PM

Ramy, I sent you another payment last week since I owed you 30 cents for a THIRD KEY. That list merlin posted is old.

FDNewbie 03-21-09 04:21 PM

Dude I dunno what to do. Someone is coming into my subforum and deleting threads. I count at LEAST 10 threads now, and the Spirit-R GB thread TWICE now. Please feel free to start a complaint thread in the Comments, Suggestions and Issues section (https://www.rx7club.com/website-related-comments-suggestions-issues-21/) cuz it's being implied that my "display settings" are off, so I just don't "see" the threads - but they're definitely 100% deleted and GONE. I've had to re-start each and every one of these threads...

I'm gonna see if I can peice together the Spirit-R key GB thread AGAIN, FOR THE THIRD TIME, tomorrow, and get this going, cuz you guys have been waiting for a WHILE now. Sorry, but it really isn't in my hands...

oo7arkman 03-22-09 09:24 AM

Ok, SERIOUSLY..... I would like my original back. It has been a YEAR without it. This was only supposed to last a few months and I was happy to help and let my key be used to produce these. This is definitely a group buy gone array.

moosejaw 03-22-09 10:40 AM

Absolutely ridiculous
Ramy pls close this out and get us our keys as well as the poor man with the original.
Just get us our keys. Maybe provide a link to outside the forum.

I cant belive no one is able to track the deletions.

Done!

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...54#post9063754

See if that gets deleted

XxMerlinxX 03-22-09 09:54 PM

Ramy, there has to be logs showing who's been deleting the threads. Have you had an admin look into it?

cten 03-23-09 10:58 PM

Whats really going on??

I honestly think it's NOT Ramy, he seems like a good guy, and apart from that two-ish month hiatus, he seems to have been very reliable, perhaps an unhappy customer is somehow doing this? just a thought as I doubt a mod would do this, if they get caught, they could be in big trouble for messing with a business's customers/income, and I'm sure they're well aware of that.

There's no way for a regular user to log in and have super-mod/admin powers. It has to be either of those two, Ramy, or some sort of board error which would still create an error log.

MazRx7FD 03-24-09 12:11 PM

Ramy,

I have been trying to contact you. You sent me a pm concerning fed-ex wont allow you to send it to a po box and have been trying to get my keys to me. I sent you a pm with my current address.

Also I am involved in this GB as well. Hopefully moderators can get to the bottom of this issue, so all those involved can get some sort of conclusion.

Anyway, get back to me asap so we can finsih the key issue.

The board isn't that secure, I'm someone that is computer literate enough could easily get in and fuck with the code. It's possible, but unlikely.

However I'm content to trust Ramy for now, but I think if he has the mold for the keys he should at least return the original to the owner.

You'd be suprised. The way this site is set up (through vBulletin), all the security certificates are stored on the web server, not the persons computer. The only way someone could have moderator access is either by figuring out their password or physically being on one of the moderators computers and taking the cookies that make the website remember your logged in (which im fairly sure does not work as this websites design also remembers people by IP as well).

Another great feature vBulletin has is that it logs EVERYTHING. A moderator with enough administrator rights should have no problem seeing who is deleting the threads.

I'm confused as to why they haven't done anything yet. Something fishy is going on here....

GoodfellaFD3S 03-24-09 06:21 PM

Here ya go guys, posted in the 'vendor relations' section under Suggestions:

moosejaw 03-24-09 07:37 PM

moosejaw 03-27-09 11:44 AM

RAMY
Can we finish this pls before it gets deleted by some vindictive Moderator?

HalifaxFD 03-27-09 02:18 PM
