"disaster" does not even begin to describe what has happened here. Very disappointing from a once well respected forum vendor...

JdmRX 06-21-09 09:04 PM

it's been a year n a half on this. i wish i could get my money back so i could buy it right now through rhdjapan.com, at least they have it in stock.

93silverbullet 06-22-09 02:37 PM

Ramy - What is going on with this group buy? Either send me the keys that I already paid for or refund my money. It's been over a month since you last posted the status of this group buy.

PDViper77 06-25-09 06:16 PM

Yea, this is honestly rediculous. I either want my 3 keys or ALL of my money back. I will never ever do business again with Ramy. What a total joke.

project3328 06-26-09 04:52 PM

do u still have black ones?

nevermind lol

FDNewbie 06-29-09 10:26 PM

Hey guys,

Sorry for the short hiatus. Wasn't really a break; I was in the process of moving/relocating (https://www.rx7club.com/fdnewbie-imports-172/fdnewbie-imports-now-new-location-848955/). But we've been hard at work finishing the keys throughout this time.

This project is a bit more complex than was anticipated, hence the delays.
- We needed two types of tooling, one for plastic molding, and another for the metal part of the key. The tooling proved to be a VERY time consuming process.
- Today, the cutting die for the metal side was completed
- We're currently working on the back plastic side tooling.
- Once the tooling is complete, we can manufacture the keys in few days time.

I'll be sure to updated you guys soon once the tooling process is complete.

Thanks,
~Ramy

Highwind 07-09-09 02:17 PM

Agreed, good to see this is moving forward. Thanks Ramy.

oo7arkman 07-14-09 09:45 PM

And here we go again.... Two weeks and again no updates.

moosejaw 07-14-09 11:12 PM

this is actually moving faster than i thought?

PDViper77 07-16-09 01:24 PM

I was in Gainsville this past weekend. Good thing Ramy doesn't live there anymore.

Eric, posting personal info like that is against the forum rules. Using PMs would be a better choice.

No, get my keys or money. He doesn't respond to PMs. Seriously.

oo7arkman 07-21-09 05:06 PM

Rapidly approaching another month with no updates... What a suprise. Funny thing is I joked about this in my response pm to Ramy and he assured me it would not happen again.

UPDATE!!!

So the keys are FINISHED! I thought I'd post up some pics of the keys. Middle (the dark, old used) key is the original. The other 2 are the new ones we just made. I'm going to grab the 2 sample keys (one of 'em is goin to you oo7arkman), will do some final quality control testing, then get the key orders crankin out!

As for "Rapidly approaching another month with no updates...," as I mentioned time & time again, I post up info/updates as soon as they're available. Not sure what you want me to post up when there are no worthwhile developments to share...

Thanks,
~Ramy

Ramy
they look good
Thanks for posting an update.
I think ppl would have like to have heard an update from you even if there was no news to report.

Good job!

Good job!

Exactly, especially during a group buy that has been such a major disaster. Just a simple post like the last few is all that is really necessary and it is certainly not too much to ask. "Hey guys I know it has been a week (or two) but we are still trying to get the first ones knocked out, we ran into problems again" is nothing but a courtesy to your customers. I am really not sure why you have not figured this out. It is not that complicated of a business practice especially when you do not answer pm's or emails very regularly. In cases such as this one there are no meaningless updates.

I am sorry if I come off too upset. But I am extremely disappointed with how this whole group by has gone. I think that you personally are an honest, good and probably quite enjoyable to be around. However, your business practices need a very objective scrutinizing. This is a good example of how not to handle transactions in the future. I am sure you have lots of good ones as well, but it is the difficult and bad ones that will help separate good from bad businesses.

I am really just glad this is finally coming to an end. Please also include my original with the other key, it should no longer be needed since you have an extra copy.

-Noah-

So has my original shipped back to me yet?

I second this. Ignoring the GB thread is not the right thing to do.
