Make sure you guys have some sort of cover for the lens, because when rocks hit it... Uh oh... New bulbs!

all 4 lights are the same, so hi/lo beam is determined off of wiring...

with my kit:
low beam:
white wire with black stripe
black wire

hi beam:
solid white wire
black wire

I don't think it was knight Sport's intent that the black fiberglass light housngs were to be finished product (Paint wise)

Mine are not scratched, but a dull black (Soon to be re-covered)

Dont think those will fit over the KS kit. You will probably have to fab up your own lens to shape it to the KS lights. Just trying to help, afterall you dont want to mess up your pretty KS kit!

I have to partially agree w/ Mahjik... =P There are some fitment issues that i was quite disappointed by KS, but after everything's put together.. it still looks really sweet. IMO, there isn't a aftermarket light for FD that look this good.

I got the standard kit because i was planning on replacing the H3 bulbs w/ 2 sets of HID kits i have, but the kit itself is so clean, if you try to DIY the HID, u'll have to cut a big hole behind each fog light. So i'm keeping the standard lights .... which isn't too bad.. they're actually brighter than my stock lights. But if i were to do it again, i'd save up more $ and get the HID kit.

Hits:
-the light angle and bracket is very well calculated and thought out so when the light flips up, it sits very low almost like sleepy eye.
-there are no waste of space as far as the distance between the actual lense which makes it look like it's factory original.
-Installation was cake
-back of the IPF lights are completly sealed off with rubber cover made perfect for the wires.

Misses:
- requires trimming of the front 2x bracket. leaving only the rear 2 bracket to hold it in place. so if your double sided tape in the front isn't secured well, the back brackets can break, and your headlight cover can fly off on the freeway. (Which did happen to my FEED knockoffs, now i'm using my original stock ones)
-The black housing is fiberglass. I wish it was plastic. and the fitment of the black cover isn't 100% perfect.. there's a little bit of gap by the lenses.
- If you want to convert it to HID yourself, you will need to hack a big hole in the back of the rubber housing behind the light to fight ur HID bulb through... there's no clean way around your DIY HID conversion

I wanted these lights since they came out in 1996/97 ... and still today, I haven't found another kit that can replace this look. I have a pic of the whole kit separated out prior to installation.. but i'm away from my home right now.. i'll post them up this weekend.

If you take the motor and motor bracket off you can use all the screws and holes. 2 for the back of the cover 2 on the sides where u have to drill and 2 where u have to cut the tabs.

i found it being really helpful laying everything out first and connect all the wires to the lights so you get a clear idea where everything goes. The long wires gets a bit confusing, but after everything's hooked up, it only use one of original headlight wire plugs on one end and the other ends just plugs up to the 4 IPF lights. which order of the wires? just have to trial and error.. outter lights are Lowbean and inner lights are highbeam (looking at the angle they project)

the hardest part of the whole process is removing the stock headlights + casing. not that its hard, but just take the most time. remove everything except the motor+motor bracket, the spoon-like connecting rode can be poped off w/ a twist. After the KS brackets are in, everything else will fall into place. EXCEPT the black cover. KS made an extra bracket on the side for the outside hole for the bracket to hold (i guess) but there's no way it'll reach while lining up w/ the IPF lights themselves. So the only way for the blackcover to hold is using the most outside screw for the lowbeam light for the outter screw hole of the cover.

hope that helps...

How did you guys plug into your harness?
Like this? (straight on)

Or like this? (turned 90 degrees)

With the 90 degree method I could get the outside (assume driving lights) to come on but I couldn't get the high beams or both high and low to come on at the same time.

With the straight plugin method I couldn't get either lights to come on.....

Are there two seperate ground rings? One is thick wiring and one is slim black wiring? Or is the slim one for something else? Some kinda trigger to keep both lights on for highbeam?
