GB: RotaryExtreme FD3S Hood Damper Kit!

Yes, you read this right. FDNewbie Imports is collaborating with RotaryExtreme yet again to bring you another group buy on the super popular RotaryExtreme hood damper kit. See, at FDNewbie Imports, we're ALL about cooperation and collaboration - anything to help provide our customers with the best quality products!

Some info about the hood dampers:

"The RotaryExtreme hood damper kit enables you to open the hood without the hood rod which interferes with some parts installation and some stock mount aftermarket intercoolers. The damper kit is designed to be installed without any permanent modification to your vehicle or the hood. There is no drilling or cutting involved. The installation can be done with simple hand tools in 15 min: bolt the CNC machined brackets onto the hood hinges, replace the fender M6 bolt with the custom ball stud provided, snap the hood dampers onto the ball studs and you are done! It can be used safely with either the stock hood or an aftermarket hood because the CNC machined brackets bolt onto the stock metal hood hinges, not the hood itself.

The kit includes two dampers, two CNC machined aluminum brackets that are bolted onto the hinges of the hood, 4 ball stud accepters and 4 ball studs. Our aluminum CNC machined hinge brackets use both studs of the hood that they can be installed without worrying about the correct orientation, unlike other inferiorly designed damper kit." (Courtesy of RotaryExtreme).

My target is 10+ orders to get this GB up and running. Pricing is $150/set, SHIPPED.

Thanks!
~Ramy

Are these damers for the stock hood or aftermarket? Chuck had two different sets IIRC.

I'll prob wait a week or so, and close it once the number slows down (prob in a week or so). If there's further interest later on, I'll see if another batch/run can be done.

And no, RE isn't back. Why do you think I'm selling them?

I just did a little searching and I found the Tein FD hood dampers for alot less.. Rammy I think you may need to revise the pricing.

ihavetwins - The Tein dampers are green.

Re: price, Chuck lists his at $155 on his website: http://www.rotaryextreme.com/hooddamper.html

The Tein's; a quick websearch for the CHEAPEST price I could find was $138 + $16 shipping. That's $154 total. I was asking $160 SHIPPED. Nonetheless, I don't mind beating that and revising the price to $150 SHIPPED. And if we get a good number of ppl to sign up and follow through w/ a deposit, I don't mind seeing if we can drop the price even a bit more.

These are AWESOME. I've had these on my car for sometime and having nothing but great things to say about them. I've used them with 2 CF aftermarket hoods so far with no problems. Great product and great price. I paid 155 + shipping, just like Ramy mentioned only a year back. Good luck with the GB.

$150 sounds like a good price. I'll go in on whichever set works with Chuck's Knightsports carbon replica hood.

The teins were not made for aftermarket hoods I believe. That is atleast What i though I've read on their site somewhere. I know the reason Chuck came out with these was because they can be applied to aftermarket hoods. Also Who the hell wants green hood struts!?

Put my name in.

I just tried a set of the ones from ebay and they were just not nice pieces, for a number of reasons.

Thanks,
Justin Wade
