Tokyo Area 7?

Ok, does anyone know where to go to get a 7 in this area thats not totally expensive. I'm looking for an Rx7, 2nd gen 3rd gen whatever. It just needs to have a turbo and not be totally broken. I'm looking to spend a max of 3,000 USD maybe a little more for a nice 3rd gen. I almost though about buying an MR2 today but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

ummmmmmm good luck....

You "MIGHT" be able to find a running 2nd for that kind of cash.

you can find a FC for that cost with shaken but you wont find an FD at that price that is not on its final legs and it will most likely not have shaken either. FD's can be obtained for that price but you cant expect it to be clean or running great and definately dont expect that to include 1 or 2 years worth of shaken on it.
if you are ok with an FC you should have no problem.

Oh and they all have turbo's here unless you get a SA or a specially modded FC or FD. FC and FD's were only sold as turbo's here.

not completely true.

One guy I know got his for 2500, low miles, bone stock, passed shaken easy. nice car. It had been sitting at a shop near base for a while so the guy let it go for that price. I think he was asking 3500 or 4000 before when I saw it. They didn't have a battery to start it up with, and I was concerned about compression, etc. Plus, I'm not a fan of that montego blue color and didn't want to fall in the trap of buying the first thing that I came across.

I got mine for 4000 with lots of parts, few months of shaken left, but yes....it's needed LOTS of work. I actually paid more than I wanted to for what condition the car was in. I was tired of looking, though. I thought the previous owners would have taken better care of it.

Go to Garage R... they have a lot of 7's there, for reasonable prices (IIRC).

there are always exception but if you are in a rush and want one soon you will not find one in your price range. (there are always exceptions, but does the lotto advertise your odds of winning?)

Got mine for $3500 at Yokota. Guys wife was ready to have their baby and they needed the money to get a family car. He was originally asking like $6K. My wife is so good at haggling.
