Japan EVENTS!!!
 

OK lets try and keep this as an ongoing list of Events and or event ideas. I will list some idea or upcoming events. If anyone has another event or idea to add to the list then please copy the most recent list, and repaste it with your idea or event at the bottom. As events pass we will remove them from the lists. lets try to keep them in a timeline order as in upcoming events at the top and events in a couple months or weeks closer to the bottom.

Ideas

Mt. Tsukuba - Meet at midnight or slightly before, run or spectate for a couple hours then head down the Mountain to grab a late night meal or early breakfast depending on finishing time.

Daikoku Futo - Meet in the Parking area Grab something for dinner or lunch depending on meet time then go to hakone, or Fuji area.

Drift/Grip day- Nikko Circuit, Drift 3 classes/levels, grip 2 classes/ levels. Run time is about 15 minutes each period generally.

7-7-07/ RX-7 day - 90% chance of it being held at Tsukuba circuit again this year. We could meet at Mt. Tsukuba the night before drive then go to sleep and go to Tsukuba Circuit in the morning. There are plenty of Hotels in Tsukuba city that we could get rooms at.

No Navigation Rally: I think this would be really fun in Japan. No maps, no in car navi. We meet at one spot and from there drive/race to random rally points. It would take to long to explain this now but that is the basic idea.

Parts swap meet: I figure that with us all being car lovers and most likely many of us having car friends we could get a decent size group of people together to swap, sell, trade, and or give away unwanted parts. This could be both convenient for members with no space to store parts as well as profitable to those who want to see the parts before buying them and or bargaining with thge prices. Also a good reason for us all to get together and shoot the shit about each others cars etc...




At this point the only Event I know of to plan is the RX-7 day. I have mentioned before that Tokyo Auto Salon is in the process of being phased out or turned into a VIP show. Option Video and Magazine are pushing a new car show called something like "exciting car show" (:lol: @ name) it will be a summertime event most likely june or july I believe. Anyhow that is another potential event that can be scheduled.

Tomorrow is Tokyo Auto Salon as most of you know.
Tomorrow night some people are heading out to Daikoku futo around 8. (friday night)

I'll be at the Tokyo Auto Salon on Saturday. Haven't been previously, but sounds like a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

7's day ... there is an RX7 race meeting on the 18th!
It's going to be the guts nuts all tuner fight!

For events, I already keep a list of the major ones.

GT-R Uk is every 2nd wednesday of the month at Daikoku.

2/23 Wise One Auto will be going out to Tsukuba TC1000, I will be driving along with 6 or 7 other cars. Radigash will be bringing his FD out for his first Japan debut!

2/28 (thursday) Amuse has a track day at Tsukuba TC2000. We will be taking our Red FC out for that (please no rain again!!!) I also hear Amuse will be testing their GTR R35 throughout the day. I also hope to see their S2000.

I made a thread before i saw this but i am looking to just have a normal meet/photo op around the yamaguchi area. If there is enough interested let me know and we can get something together.

There is a 7 Meeting this weekend at Tsukuba Circuit TC2000.
April 5th Saturday.

So whats up with getting back to me on those parts!!!? lol progress on my 7 is coming along great! i got a lot of the parts i was asking you for and it is starting to look like new inside.

I won't be able to make it all the way up there this weekend, which sucks but o well. Let me know if you wanna come down this way some time.

RX-7 meeting at Daikoku Futo June 7th I heard there is also a GTR meet the same night.

i just wanted to thank tom for the warm welcome to Japan, he is a great guy, and im looking forward to see the d1 event and the daikoku futo meet.

No problem Greg. Give me a call and we can figure out where to meet up on Saturday for D1. I wont be able to go to D1 on Sunday.

Oh and for anyone else interested in going to D1 PM me if you want to meet up etc.

Also there is Drag Racing going on at Twin Rings Motegi this weekend on June 8th (sunday) atleast thats what I heard on Eagle: AM 810 .

17th and 31st
9am-11am Evo meeting Time attack series (not mistubishi evo's only all cars)

Dec 10 is Rev Speed Battle.
