AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

Well I got another ticket today!

67kph in a 40kph

I am stupid but come on 40kph????!!!! First gear goes over 40kph. The street I was on was a fairly major street also (well it is the countryside but it was a big enough street to have turn signals and allow any size truck to travel down it.

BLah.... that is 18,000 yen down the drain and another 3 points on my license.

How many points are we allowed here in JP? This is my second ticket in the past 4 months. Both for speeding, one was obis camera and todays was a mechanical triggered zone. I ran over a line i supose or crosse a lazer beam then once i hit the next line or beam it calculated my speed. Then about half a kilo down the road i saw some J-po scrambling to get their red flags out to stop me.

This blows, guess I better start rebuilding the engine and rest of the car soon so I dont get in any more trouble for awhile. :pat:

Where do you live?? I swear to god, before I bought the FD, I had a 1991 Skyline GTR. The day I bought it from my friend in Tokyo, I was driving back to Aomori and I got pulled over doing 237 in a 100 from what I saw on my speedo. The cops just yelled at me for a little bit, emphasized the 100kph limit, and let me on my merry way. Swear to god this is a true story.

damn that sucks
im moving to Fukuoka next year and planning on getting an FC,
but how many points can you have up to over in japan? same as the US?

I believe you can have up to 12 points, but i think at 12 or over 12 you lose your license for a year

my last ticket which was 4 months or so ago was 120 in a 50 zone.
that was 12 points right there...
if i go to school for it i knock off 3
and if i go to school for my new violation i may knock off some also.

I dont know all yet but will keep you all updated.

237 = 148 = No way in hell they'd let you off.

i over took a plainsclothes cop car on the expressway doing 200kph, (as recorded on my gps when i bought my 1st , slightly worked, fd

then i pulled over to let my friend have a drive and he was pulled over by the cops

perhaps because they never were able to match speed to clock me or maybe as there was going to be some confusion as to who was driving the car and who actually owned it, or maybe it was the just the big bow with apologies and atrocious japanese.....anyway they let us off after radioing our gaijin card and drivers licenses details back to base

i only stopped at 200kph because by then the speedo needle has left the markings and pegged itself. i didn't want to damage it

Where are there speed limits over 80kph? I've never been blessed with seeing such places

BTW, I got pulled over by JP's on the Oki expressway awhile back doing 180kph while the speed limit was 80kph, they let me off without any ticket.

MisawaJason gets to pull the stupid gaijin card, assuming he has Y plates. I got pulled over yesterday for making a right turn where you are only supposed to make lefts. Opps. He asked if I was from base, briefed me on the street signs and let me go. I got pulled over doing 135 kph in a 40 about 11 years ago. Told them my wife was sick and I had to get home. They bitched about the 40 kph slow down slow down and let me get go. (wife wasnt sick)

I also hit 219 kph on the kanetso express way, in my RB25 powered Z31. Usually no traffic on it. Now that I'm older, I just slow down. I might add one of those GPS radar detectors at autobacs is looking pretty good though.
