Hey guys,
I'm finishing my exhaust and I want to know if it's necessary for a downpipe to
have a flex bellow on it.
Any inputs?
Thanks.

no not really it just gives play in the exhaust, from the motor turning so the motor does break stuff just get some soild mounts and you dont have to worry about it. at lease thats what ive read about it.

It is not necessary, but the change to solid mounts usually prevents any flexing into the body. However, if you use the flex bellow as you have it in the picture, you will probably get some bumping or rubbing. The position that you have the flex bellow allows only for a up and down flex...therefore, potentially making contact with the body or drivetrain. If you place the bellow before your rearward bend (this would place the bellow upright), then this position allows for the front to back flexing.
