dual imtercoolers?

Hey guys! So I want to upgrade my intercooler but id rather not cut up my bumper for a front mouth and a v mount is outa my price range. While researching I found that some card run dual intercoolers in parallel. Has any one tried this kind of set up? I know the piping is going to be a bit much, any other issues? I'm guna pick up a second top mount and try this out with. Some ducting from the front to each core. Any one got any tips for me or warnings? The car is street driven and power goals are only 350 whp for now. Ill post pica as I get parts done.

Guna use S5 top mounted for the core

If you do not have the money for a V-mount... Then you may not have enough money for dual intercoolers. It's sort of a silly concept anyway.

You can always sandwich a front mount between the radiator and front bumper support. This way your oil cooler still gets plenty of air flow... Plus you won't have to cut up your bumper or remove the bumper support. (Piping and intercoolers are very reasonably priced on eBay.)

Ya as I continued to do the math on pressure drop amd things it became clear that it wasn't even worth it.

dual intercoolers is a horrible design. it makes absolutlrly no sense. just get 1 big one

I'm not sure how you drive your car but something like a liquid to air intercooler with remote reservoir and pump may be right up your alley. It will take some looking into and if you drive spiritedly for lengths of time I'd stop by the 7-11 for some ice cubes first but they're very useful if you're not doing a lot of laps.

Even a used front mount intercooler isn't too expensive.

See sig.

and of course,, AI water/meth, when the boost comes up! no I/C!

good for 350hp stuff.

I picked up a smaller front mount core that I will use so it doesn't block too much of my radiator, I've been planned to throw in some AI probly using a cool mist system. I would like the car to see some berry right track duty but 99 percent of the time it will just be a fun road car. I can't look at your sig I only use this site from my cell phone
