Custom Shifter Linkage
I am trying to find someone who can fabricate a part for me. What I need is a linkage just like the one Chris Carlisi had made for his build. The part is described HERE.
I'd greatly appreciate anyone's help in this matter.
Thank you kindly.

That was the first thing that came to mind, but I don't know who that is. I've asked around the forum and not been able to get that info. I *believe* that it was Alex, TT_rex_7, that made it, but he hasn't been on in forever and I don't know any other way to contact him.
If I'm being thick-headed and overlooking an obvious contact for the fabricator, please let me know. . .wouldn't be the first time.
Thanks.

I think Chris contacted Alex about it but in the end he ended up having Logan at Definied Autoworks fab it up for him.
IIRC there was a serious wait on the item, I can remember Chris bitching to me about it for a number of weeks/months

I took a used 12 point ratchet sock (forgot what size) grinded to the correct height, and welded it to that pivot linkage in the front access plate. The socket I used fit the white plastic shifter bushing perfectly. It is centered as such so the little pin can still be removed if the tranny needs to be disassembled. Then all you have to do is reverse the shifter housing around to align. Now depending on what shifter you have (I have a ebay miata short shifter) I had to make a 1/4" spacer to raise the shifter housing to the correct height. I used my plasma cutter to make the spacer. Oh yea, I did all this while the tranny was still together. It works so well, you can't even tell it's been modified and is solid as hell. I'll post pics when I get the rest of the car finished which is very soon.

Not to much help for you but the picture labeled "part in progress" looks to be wire EDM cut. That may be why it took so long to get made.
You will need CAD data to be able to just walk into a EDM shop and have it made. Unless you plan to spend a bunch having them design the part as well as cut it.
