3 into 1 collector...wtf?

I am creating this thread because I am a little frustrated. I have been trying to find a 304SS (or any stainless for that matter at this point) 3 into 1 collector, merged or formed, slip on or weld on, with 2" primaries and I cant find anything for under 250.00. I think its a bit ridiculous. I have made them in the past but 3 into 1 collectors are the hardest to make well because the cuts aren't evenly spaced. Anyways...I really want to stay from making my own so I am seeking advise. There has to be someone on this site that has purchased a 3 into 1 SS collector for less than 250.00...and I hope they post on this thread.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

p.s. I already looked at mandrel-bends.com but they only have them up to 1.75" primaries...and that does not work. I have also called Burns, Reid Washborn, SPD...etc etc etc...

If they are hard to make, then maybe its worth spending $250.

Did you try SPD... there's already a thread about this in this section.

they make a 1.875" 304SS for 52 bucks.. they may make you a 2" if you ask. there formed "merge" collectors.

Its takes hours to cut and weld up a 3 into 1 collector even with the correct jig.... thats where the cost comes from. Hours in labour + materials.

The cheaper option is a 'pressed' item that you'd weld on

Columbia River Mandrel Bends.

Economical and quick return.

Heh, I'm making one of these. I just sliced the tubes a few days ago. Still deciding whether to collect to 2.5" or 3". These don't seem that difficult to make. .120" mild steel is what I'm using though, so you're not interested. Kinda late. lol

Really don't want a formed collector if you have the means to do a merged one.
