surface shield is supposed to be better in the wheel wells because it is tougher  <br />

I remember replacing the alternator in 1994.<br />
Is the external (from the alternator) voltage regulator the problem ?<br />

I know this has been talked about before but with the closing of pineapple racing, the yoohoo belt seems harder to come by and purchasing a belt from NAPA seems to be very tedious.<br />

I’m wondering if just gutting the air pump and leaving the pulley in place is the most reliable way to go?<br />
<br />
Curious what everyone thinks</div>
