official Grove Street Family Import Car Club thread
Well guys my car is back to being rotary so I just have some minor tunning to do on it and I should be out ya'lls way sometime soon.
For the record I would like to thank "Charge" for coming out to help me drop the engine in on Sunday!

Rim and Tire size
I sure most of you already know this, but I would like to share my experience on rim and tire size. Today I switched out my 18" Oxigin rims with Kumho Supra low pros that have very little meat left to my 16" Konigs with Cooper XPTs (50's instead of the recommended 55's) that have almost brand new tread. 1st off, I don't like they way they look......but aside from that the ride quality and handling is like night and day.
The 18's look good (really good IMHO), but the ride quality is a little harsh and they tend to "walk" on uneven surfaces (i.e. almost every road in Europe). The "walk" makes it a little unpredictable which at high speeds isn't very cool at all especially around corners.
The 16's, on the other hand, don't fill up the wheel well as much as I would like, but the ride quality is a dream. I've got KYB AGX's and Eibach pro set springs all the way around with the front set on 2 and the rear set on 6 to stiffen up it up a little. With the 16's I don't feel all the bumps like I did before and it feels like it's on rails going around corners. I don't feel like I'm fighting it to get it around a sharp curve at speed.
I think what I'm going to do is either sell or trade my 16" Konig rims for a set of 17's and see how that feels. I want something to fill the wheel wells a little more, but I really want my ride quality and handling. Is anyone else here running 17's and if so, how does it feel per what I just discussed?
I'm a big fan of 17'' wheels. On my old CRX they brought the pain due to the wide foot and I love em' on my FC3S. It will be a good middle ground between both. I have have the full Tien Flex package /w EFDC all around. I love bragging on the internetz. It shows what a nerdy b!tch I am.

I guess that's what you get when you have the money to hire Mazdatrix to do all the motor work!
