Leaving Belgium...

Things are finalizing these days. Seems I'll move to the UK early to mid-2007. I still have to sign the contract with the new employer, so it's not 100% sure yet, but very little can go wrong. The only issue that could still arise is the place they'd want me to go to. I have my mind set on Carlisle, Cumbria. Should this not be possible (Yorkshire is the other option) I'll probable stay in Belgium. But that seems very unlikely.
Moving to the car-country means a lot of trouble though. I have way to much parts collected overhere to take with me. So I'm looking for a way to get rid of some NSU RO80 parts and some FC parts. There's an engine-less FC S4 NA that might be of some use to people needing parts, so contact me if you're intrested. I have a 1984 FB, that's parted out, but all is present apart from the engine. Both cars have all documents (FC is Dutch, FB is Belgian). There's also a load of FC parts that I saved from an NA I parted out some time ago. Most is available.
I'm not looking for major €€€ but just a way to get a good home for that stuff. You'll have to come over to pick it up, obviously.

Sounds exciting Bart!

What are you going to do in the UK?

Well i'm interested in some of the FC parts as you know. Just is a question of when I have the time to pick them up and how much you want for them (saving up for a kid... owh my car hobby is in pain ). But we're already emailing, thanks for remembering me

Are you taking the Mariah with you to England? You've put so much effort into her, can't imagine you'd let her go... Shame about the NSUs though.

Mariah comes with me, Cosmo was on the list, but unfortunatly the rear seats seem useless for kids, at least in safety-seats. I'll need three-point belts. I'll probable buy a 626 or 6 Estate for a while, then we'll see.
I'll have to contact Wim, but I know he's running out of space too

RE, can't you find like a caravan place to put your car (uhm caravan stalling, ben ff de engelse naam kwijt). I've got my mazda parked at such a place here in holland that costs me something like 200E a year. Nice, warm and dry and not to expensive methinks....

Oh, I must have overlooked something there. I really could have sworn I only saw lapbelts on the pics. THIS really changes everything
Two kids are more than a handful at the moment, so I'll sure keep the family-planning under control
I'd probable go for a 13B version though, thinking about the expense of a 20B rebuilt... And fuel consumption of course...

So finally I will have guy that can send me parts from the UK !

I don't have problems to fill my garage(s), Neal. The space is just temporary... two of my cars are in the paint shop :-)

Why do you need a guy in the UK? Every shop I ever ordered parts from in the UK always ships to Belgium fast and safe. But I'll let you know the adress of course, should you need to have something shipped that way. Just remember I won't be able to stock a warehouse full of parts
I'm really uncomfortable by the idea of moving into a smaller place, even if it's just temporarely. I'll probable only have a single garage there, that'll be hard to work on the car(s). So no kit-cars for a while...

Don't forget f*cking expensive........
Most of the times it is even cheaper to sent parts from the US to EU than from the UK to , let say, the Netherlands......

I never buy stuff in shops and lots of UK people don't want to ship to Belgium. If they do, it is expensive. So I need an address where I can have my parts sent to so I can combine shipping (like I have in Australia and in the US ).

I will wait until you have have a warehouse, Bart !

... or you pay a part of my rent
Well, it's true, combined shipping can be a good idea. As for shipping costs as such: well, it is what it is. USA shipping is cheaper as long as you use US Postal, but then I pay huge amounts of tax.
I hope I can find a decent sized home but it might be hard. Every penny I spent on rent is a penny I can't save for a future house/garage, you see We are planning to buy (or build) in a bout 3-5 years, so we need to save up...
