Even the RX-7 is more popular than the Elan.
Elan is huge in the UK, and very respected in the US (by guys who know about cars, not 2F2F dopeheads
)
There are various sites and forums, but they are in the form of lists, not live forums like this one. However, the various shops that offer products for the Elan are very much active, even now.......

Guys, just a question...
We have had some people who just visit "our" forum once in a while, but there are also the guys who are often writing/posting here, and make the forum to what it is.
And right now, I think we are missing one of our members who used to post a lot. So where is he?
Where is Turboren??? We didn't hear from him for a while, did we? I knew he'd go bac to the USA, but I think he'd let us know. So does anyone now what happened, and why we didn't hear from him for such a while?
When the "hardliners" dissappear, it's always a bit scarry, cause you expect a reason for that.
So who can tell us? Where is Ren?

Damn, you guys are the greatest friends I have never met!
Seriously. I mean I really feel like an *** now for not telling you all what's up.
I must get better at informing my friends when I'm going to be out for a while.
So, here's what's going on. Yes, I've moved back to the States. In fact, I left Iceland, and my girlfriend, on the 14th of June. Well, not LEFT my g/f, just she has work and school to tend to. She's supposed to come visit me in October, hopefully for a couple weeks.
I'm now living in Norfolk, Virginia, home to the largest Naval base in the US, if not the world. I'm stationed on the USS Nassau, which is a Marine landing/assault ship (we carry troops and landing craft in our hull, and helicopters and Harriers on our flight deck). There are about 1500 crew members, and I work in main propulsion (big *** steam turbine engines) with about 35 other people. Right now we're in the ship yard, though, so Im not going out to sea for a while.
I live in Norfolk, as well. Not on the ship, though, thankfully. I am renting a 2-bedroom house with a 2-car garage out back that's almost as big as the house (THAT's what I'm talkin' 'bout!!). So you can guess where I spend most of my time...
I don't have home internet service, which is why you all haven't seen me lately. I should have it come the 1st of August, though. I'm writing this from work.
Something told me I should just go ahead and check the Forum while I was here. Glad I did!
Sadly, I haven't seen any of my 7's yet. Right now I'm stuck driving my parents' 2002 Jeep Liberty (yuk!). I know, I know, but hey, I can't afford insurance and registration on any of my cars yet, due to expenses related to moving in (1st month's rent, security deposit, utilities, and such). I should be picking up either my 91 NA A/T or my 91 Galant VR4 sometime next week. Which one I get depends on whether I can register the cars in South Carolina or not (lapsed insurance thanks to my old tennants who were supposedly paying it). I won't be getting the GTUs for another couple months, as it's down in Florida, and the REPU is still in California, and will have to be shipped (great, more expenses). Yes, I still have more vehicles than I know what to do with. Time to start selling some... especially since i have other projects in the wings.
Thanks again, guys, for your concern. I promise I'll do a better job of staying in touch.

Hey, glad to hear you're now back on-line
For a moment there, we assumed that something bad might have happened.....Sure looks like you will have to sell some of your cars though
The GTUs is obviously a keeper, so deal with the other cars ONLY

Welcome back Ren!
We were missing you!
Anyway, seems like a lot of things to take care of in your near future. You need to get a huge garage if you are planning to get all those cars together. If you do sell any, please, not the rotary ones?
At least we have a contactperson in the states now, so what would we need from there? ...right, yes, PARTS!!!

Goddammit ******* piece of ****.
Allthough I knew it was comming, it still caught me by surprise, I was going to work today when the clutch-hose finally let go
I have had a vision of this happening at some point so i allready bought a new SS braiden one back when i ordered my bushings, but now i have to install this hose at a time when i dont have any time to spare.
I know this is my own fault because Ive been neglecting it all the time, you know "Ill do it next weekend"
Thanks for letting me vent
