what type of management for my t2
Ok, so I need to get some sort of engine management. what would best fit my needs?
affordable is key as I don't have much money, but I don't have any experiance with this sort of thing so easy to learn as I have to tune myself since I'm too poor. I'm capable of installing it though. I've pulled my T2 apart to bare block and put it back together, and running a new harness is not an issue as I need a new harness anyway. I had to splice and fix alot of mine. its ghetto but runs. I've already removed the rats nest, ACV, EGR, and have the TB mod. I have a full exhaust (80MM corksport DP, to 2.5" presilencer, to 2.25 duel catback.) , 3" TID. Ported waistgate, FCD, and a 255LPH fuel pump. Greddy BOV boost is at 10psi so I need to upgrade before I blow up. I'm going to be getting FMIC, larger injectors, and wideband ASAP. I would eventually like to be above 1 bar, but looking for about 250 whp for now. |

https://www.rx7club.com/closed-parts-sale-13/ An EMS is intended for highly-skilled automotive technicians, so every model is beyond your skill level. However, given your self-description, you should be able to install one yourself, and then get some tuning help from one of your local friends. An EMS that is pre-configured for your car will be easier for you to understand. These would include most of the Microtech models, Wolf plug-in models, and the Haltech Platinum Sprint RE. The downside is that the pre-configured models will not work with other engines like the universal models, and therefore it is difficult to re-sell and you need to be VERY careful when buying a used one in order to make sure it is pre-set for your engine type. Due to your limited funds and technical skill, you may want to just stick with the S-AFC for now. |
I was thinking that thats a good plan to just start there and sell it later when I plan on upgrading further. thanks for the help
