Take a look at my Microtech DIGI 2 Pro Maps: Please give input
Hi everyone, I am new to the standalone ecu and microtech world, and
I would appreciate any input that you can give me on my current maps. I put them in an Excel Spreadsheet and attached it to this post. I am currently running the DIGI II Pro on a 1987 13b Turbo Motor. It has been streetported/polished, has 4 stock 550cc injectors, a blitz blowoff valve, stock hitachi turbo, and 3inch piping to a Weapon R intake. The car has no emmissions equipment. It was all removed and plated off (no vacuum hoses, except for the one going to the MAP sensor. It also has a 2.5 inch downpipe and testpipe going to the stock Y-pipe and 2 bosal mufflers. The throttle body has had one modification, with the removal of the top butterfly valves. The boost has not been modified, and I'm not trying to make maximum power for racing or anything. I am just trying to get it to be fairly smooth and reliable for now. Basically, I don't want to damage the engine at all. (It cost too much to have built.) I know the A/F ratio reading is narrow band, so I can't really go by it. It just started fluctuating a lot though, so I'm assuming the increasing temperature outside may be affecting it. I would appreciate you input/suggestions on my maps. Thanks, Kevin 88 Rx-7 Turbo II Convertible |
HI KSPURR
THOSE MAPS ARE ALL OVER THE SHOP. HAS THE CAR BEEN TUNED BY SOMEONE OR HAS IT BEEN DONE BY TRIAL AND ERROR????? I'LL GET YOU A PROGRAM AND PM IT TOO YOU. IT SHOULD BE A HELL OF A LOT CLOSER AND SHOULD GET IT RUNNING MUCH,MUCH BETTER. I'LL BE IN TOUCH SOON. REGARDS JON |
Kspurr,
If John hasnt already sent you a good base map I can help you out as well. The MAP you have is totally wrong and even some of the settings in the setup menu are incorrect. For a start set it to 4 cyl/rotary and zero everything in the TPS menu as you are tuning in MAP mode. Those old Digi's are pretty primative but I'm sure after you put in the base map John (rxeng) gives you it will be like a different car and provide a good basis for tuning on and go quite well. |
John actually just pm'd me yesterday saying that he was going to be able to get me some maps. I TRULY APPRECIATE it!!! I've been playing with the computer, and I've got it smoothed out a little, but I know there are little things I'm not going to be able to adjust for, because I started with an inaccurate map.

Kspurr,
I will be in Dallas over the next two weeks and will be able to provide you with a list of trained MT shops in the US within the next month. I am sure John will be able to sort it for you but if you need any further help PM me and we will sort something out, to get a dyno tune. Make sure you give details about fuel octane, pressure and boost levels. Good luck |
Cool, I would love to know of any trained MT shops near me, and I really appreciate the input that I have received on here so far!
