Should I return the Safc2 and get microtech?

After some thought, Ive decided to go with the microtech stand alone system> any reccomendations by the way. I had ordered teh SAFC2 but decided to go stand alone since there difficult to tune anyway. Really I want to be able to get rid of the Air Meter and stuff.

if you have the money then why not... def go for it... but if your on a budget then might have to stick with the safcII ... which is why so many people use it... like i said if you have the money you wont regret it

Yah if you have the money for the standalone, tuning, and enough time for it all, go for it. Standalone is like 1000 times better than just an SAFCII

IM gonna get it, I am on budget. But Ive skimped some corners. I found a better priced fuel pump. I wont need a couple other things if I go with the Microtech. Where are the write ups for it. The website has a good wiring diagram fro everythign except for teh Fuel and sensors unit. HOw much wire does this system come with someone was telling me it comes with a harness is that ture. Anyone know the best place to purchase one best deal? Group Buy maybe?

Yes it comes with a lead wiring harness. Just a bunch of wires different colors running from a plug that goes to your stand alone. You will have to cut accordinly and solder on connectors for everything. Then use wire loom and tape to cover the wiring. If your worried about the $5 in wiring you will need to use if you want to rewire your fuel pump and run a wire back there... then maybe you shouldnt get a stand alone.

Net Seven 05-03-05 05:21 PM

What has to stay is the driver side harness and the shit it hooks upto. Also you will need to cut out the wiper harness from your main engine harness if you want your wipers to work. You dont need the stock AFM, ECU, harness, knock sensors, and pressure sensor.

warp0007 05-03-05 06:37 PM

isnt there like a boost sensor on the inner passanger fender wall?

warp0007 05-15-05 03:53 PM

If you have your credit card billing address different than your shipping address they will not sell to you. THey quoted me around 850 shipped for an lt8. There is no boost sensor or map needed for the MT unless its 3 bar and above. The stock one is good to 25psi.
