Running the car without a tune

Hello everyone I tried searching but could not find what I was looking for. This is a pretty simple question and I might even get flamed but I was just curious. Thanks everyone!

I plan on going single in the future. Not sure what size compressor just yet but I am just looking for a reliable 350rwhp. I know that I will be buying each part as I save up the money, and I will probably have everything assembled before I have the cash to get a proper tune. My question is, will it be okay to still drive the car untuned with boost around 12-13 psi, staying away from WOT? I will be using a PFC. I have heard of people having their car trailered to the shop to be tuned. but is this necessary? Thanks guys :icon_tup:

There should be plenty of base maps out there for the turbo you are going to use. The Power FC is a popular choice for the FD. Just gotta search out there for a quality base map.

Keep in mind that you should keep your foot out of the floor on a map like this. In fact, try to stay out of boost completely until you get it somewhere it can be tuned. It all depends on the quality of the tuner who put together the map and how close it is to your setup.
