PFC or Haltech

I have a question, someone said if I bought the haltech and have someone else tune it that I'd have to premix my fuel because "stock oil metering pump".

they said it would be easier to go with the PFC, i'd like to know and hear your input so please post here, thanks

Hey Jim

None of the Haltech (pre-E11) ECUs are capable of running the oil metering electronics of the 93+ RX-7 (FD3S). So if that is a "go-no-go" criteria for your ECU, then only the Hatech E-11 will suffice. As to ALL of the other capabilities you can consider in an ecu, the list is long and tired. To summarize:
Taste Great... Less Filling.

If that doesn't work, my strongest recommendations (and I've now owned five different ECUs) are:
1. Search the archives here for any ECU info/comparison.
2. Check out Steve Cirian's site for ECU info.
3. Finally (and possibley most importantly), consider the tuning capabilities of your local ECU dealer. If it all else fails, it may all come down to this consideration if you want to keep your sanity and financial solvency. Additionally, consider VERY CAREFULLY saving some money up front (on the ECU) against the cost of tuning (either prepurchased or locally) it correctly.

Hope this helps.
