the difference between you and them, is they are running Haltech's not Micro(small amount)tech https://www.rx7club.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

MAZMAN Jun 8, 2001 08:48 AM

T2..
i dont know how much they are,you can ring microtech and find out(i would say around $150-250...new).Or go to some sites like:
FULLBOOST,AUTOSPEED(ask in the for sale room what your after, you may get responses) or check trading post.
How did you get it running as you have it now?did it already come with a basic map?
Try to borrow if you know any1..

MAZMAN Jun 8, 2001 08:50 AM

OH yeah....
If all of your freinds are driving cars with HALTECHS,how come you got a MICRO?...you should of listened to your freinds...LOL https://www.rx7club.com/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm1.gif

T2 Jun 9, 2001 12:17 AM

yeah, i know i should have gone haltech
but i wasnt in a postion to hand over 2500 just for the haltech.
i got it tuned at MAZFIX//
they suck at tuning

ok thanx for help

HWO Jun 9, 2001 04:46 AM

it may not be there tuning which sucks,
one of your limiting factors is the Seires 4 Turbo exhuast housing which is miles too small.

T2 Jun 9, 2001 06:36 AM

No im not talking about it making power, it makes plenty of power!
Im talking about hte only 200 Kms PER TANK and when i rev it a SHITLOAD of dark grey smoke comes and and how it burns my eyes when i go to the rear of the car!
THATS why i want to tune it, to lean it off some....
plus its cheaper than getting them to!

MAZMAN Jun 9, 2001 08:23 AM

Rotary's allways stink,no matter what ecu you have. But its better to run richer then leaner

Ditto
If you never get on boost when driving you should be able to get more than that, Its peoples driving styles which eat gas.
You may need to lean out the area's between 1500rpm and 4000rpm which aren't in boost.

T2 Jun 9, 2001 10:16 PM

yeah i know this
plus when i get a new FMIC (soonish) and when i get a rebuild with a street port, i can tune it my self and not pay like 800 bux for tuning/dynoed

T2 Jun 9, 2001 10:18 PM

i get better fuel economy when i take it to redline and full boost...
i got 290 kms a tank this fortnight!!
and i was racing most of the time

(friend has 350-400 hp rx3)

HWO Jun 10, 2001 04:22 AM

the difference between you mate with the rx3 and his 350+ hp and your engine is he doesn't have a stock S4 turbo clogging the hell outta his exhuast flow.

the factory turbo isn't refered to as the factory restrictor for nothing.

upgrade to a T04 and a better manifold before you rebuild and street port. it WILL give you the most HP boost of any thing you can simply bolt on.
