interaq software

Just wondering where the best place is to buy the software for a newer version of the PMS. where is the cheapest place to buy the software? I have a friend that is good at tuning it with the software. he says that the most noticable thing about using the software over the hand held is that it is smoother. any truth to that? also what kind of laptop's is everyone running (processor speed and how much RAM)?? thanks

Does anyone have a copy of the software I could get. I just got a pfs pmc, but it didn't come with the handheld unit. If someone could send me a copy of it I would more than be glad to pay for shipping and the cost of the cd-r. Thanks.

Yeah I'd pay $100 or so for the software as well.
I'm in dire need...

I emailed Wade and he said that unless some one "hacks" the software it is only good for the first person who uses it because it "writes" the serial number of the unit its plugged into, on the disk the software comes on, when you use it for the first time. This makes it only work on that unit. Its crazy that this software new costs more than windows xp and is such a small program it fits on a floppy. I guess the only way to get the software would be to buy it new and make copies before it is installed, so the copies wouldn't be serialized yet.

Edit
ALso I emailed Doug and he said that they are doing some upgrade for the mustang units so that about 70+ people on the "Stang Forum" may be getting rid of their hand held units soon if one was needed.

I can't imagine it would be that hard to unserialize the data written.

Secondly I don't get the pricing either, it just makes no sense. If the price was lowered to something sane don't they think they would have tons of people jump on it and make the purchase?
