HELP! Microtech vs Haltech?

my friend is in serious need of some advice:

he has a 13B-REW with a hi-flo T04 that has 4 Series6 injectors as normal, but then another 2 Series6 injectors mounted in the inlet manifold (6 total)

the engine management system running the car is(was) a Microtech Digi-1 for fuel & timing, and a Microtech Series1 for ignition (something like that).....they are incredibly old, primitive, archaic, stone-age, and totally inadequate.

The injectors are staged for 2 to work early in the revs, then 4 to work higher in the revs. The car is leaning out, stumbling, and having problems running in this manner.

Apparently the problem is in the staging of the injectors.
An ECU is needed that can operate the injectors in a smoother staged fashion. A Microtech MTX12 was recommended.

What we need to know is, is it possible to run a set-up of this nature in 4/2 or 2/4 configuration with any degree of safety? Or do 6 injectors *have* to be configured to run 2/2/2?

Will a Haltech E6K run my friend's engine in this way?
What ECU should he buy?
Or does he have to purchase the Microtech MTX12?

It should work fine with the Haltech E6K. I've seen many similar setups. Try posting in the Haltech forum. They should be able to answer you right away.

which microtech do you have? I have the mt8 fuel&ignition. I am going to runn that same set up your friend is really soon. 2pri. inj and 4 secondary. If you do not have the correct impedence your 2nd dar. inj. will not runn right. Also how lean is he getting on boost? how many pounds is he running? Have you tried to add fuel will the f6 pump function? Get the size, brand, and imp. of the injectors he is running.
