Haltech F9A vs EK6 whats the diff?
Hi all, I know very little about fuel management systems and was wondering of one of you knows the diffrence in the Ek6 and F9A from Haltech. What specifically do they both do and is one prefferable over another. It would be going on a 13B turbo, aftermarket fuel system, with a t60 and fmic.
Any help would be appreciated. |
Opps mispell E6K not Ek6.

The Haltech products that begin with "F" control fuel delivery, while those that begin with "E" control both fuel and ignition. The F9 has been superseded by the F10. The E6K is still available, but the new E11 is now the top of the line Haltech. Here is the Haltech website for more information:

e6k is better

If you want your ECU to also control your spark as well as your injection, you should wait around for the E11.

Ooops, I thought the E11 hadn't been released yet, but they're talking about it like they have it on the Haltech forum.
Also, on the Haltech forum, they mentioned that a few bugs needed to be worked out for the E11 as opposed to the tried and true E6K (When working with 2rotor engines), so it's all about patience. If you can wait for firmware for the E11, grab one ;) |
All of the 'E' series Haltech ECUs control both fuel and ignition. The 'F' series Haltech only control fuel. The 'I' series Haltech only control ignition.

My tip is to get a E6K or newer Haltech, the new E11 looks good!
