Emanage Section?

Is there any way we can start a Greddy emanage section, everyone says to go to the yahoo boards, which i have learnt some stuff from but it would be nice to have a RX-7 only one.

We don't currently have enough interest in that system to warrant a separate subforum. However, you are welcome to post any E-Manage threads here in the Engine Management forum.

i second this motion....now that the blue version is able to upgrade to the gold...which enables the acceleration map, auto tune via wideband on top of the sub injectors map, additional injectors map, timing map and air flow trim..it has also been brought up that the e-manage can be wired in with the cooling mist kit as well... which will give a leadway in boost applications..granted its not as complete as a full stand alone but....i see it as an afforable way to get 300HP(since its what most turbo owners are shooting for anyway) without the need of a $800+ stand alone and the complex wiring

i have everything hardwired onto the car already..but wasnt able to config the tps input or any other functions for that matter.... i understand that s4 TPS only works in a ON/OFF function...so i dont even know how i'd config it or who to ask.....

DALE CLARK.....WHERE ARE U?!?!?!!?!?

You can probably do like the SAFC guys and wire the stock press. senser into the tps input. To configure it though you will need a air compressor or "migthyvac" handpump to be able to configure it with the support tool.In that case you will need a separate pressure sensor if you want to tune with anything other then the "airflow correction" map.

i second this too

since i also have an e-manage fully installed with timing wiring and injector wiring and boost sensor.

I think there's alot of FC emanage users out there, and it wouldn't hurt to have a section for us.

Torean, go to parameter settings, throttle settings, then calibrate. The S4 TPS works, just it shows 100% at about 1/3 throttle. So when tuning treat 99% and below throttle readings as light throttle, and 100% and above as your wot settings.

You can wire in your stock boost sensor into the emanage as well into the greddy map sensor port, it isn't really documented anywhere, but I have been tuning with this method and it works very well.

There are a lots of tricks for the emanage, It'd be great if we had a place to share our knowledge on the unit, maps etc other than the crappy yahoo groups board.

There is currently a forum for eManage users, and you are posting in it. Feel free to post in the Engine Management Forum all you like (as long as it is technical in nature). If the volume of eManage threads increases to the point that they are better managed in a separate forum, then I will request one. Until then, you can post all you like in this forum, along with the users of Electromotive, Autronic, Motec, SDS, EMS, Hawk, EFI Systems, Link, and all the other brands.

But that's the thing, I think alot more people would post in a proper Emanage forum, where we could have important RX-7 Emanage doc's stickied etc as well, than post in a general engine managment forum where they are less likely to get a answer from another Emanage owner/user.

All the users of the Autronic, Motec, SDS etc have their own seperate forums on other sites, where as there really isn't a forum for the Emanage at all let alone a RX-7 Specific one.

What if we were to get enough users to post in this thread, you'd be suprised how many people in the FC forum are running this and would love to have a Emanage section.

This is a common misconception. Some of us have been at this internet forum thing for quite some time. ;)

If you want a forum, then make one. Yahoo groups are easy to build.

vote +1

ok....how do i hook up the boost sensor to the e-manage?.....i've heard that doing so on the s4 provides better fuel control than the tps...but should i run the wires into the e-manage boost sensor plug or just wire in the tps signal wire from e-manage to harness?.....i know its been done with the safc..but dont know if the same trick works for the e-manage....

cwsttu Apr 23, 2005 09:05 PM

i vote too .... im gonna need some feedback and help on emanage...... so count my vote in

Evil Aviator Apr 24, 2005 12:06 AM

LOL, you guys still aren't getting it.

THIS IS NOT UP TO A VOTE

Now that we have that out of the way, you guys who have actual technical questions about the e-Manage should start separate threads in this forum. Please place "e-Manage" or some resemblance thereof in the title. It is the thread volume that I use to determine whether a new sub-forum is needed, so get out there and start posting if you really want a separate sub-forum. It may take several months to compete with the other EMS products, but there is no way that I am going to request a separate sub-forum for an EMS product that has more whining and for sale posts than it does technical posts.

Also, please help out others. The EMS forum post rate is a fraction of the other forums, so it is easy to review the threads from the previous week or two. Help out your e-Manage buddies!

I'm closing this thread so that no more technical questions are wasted here.
