ECU differences?

I have a stock FD and was wondering if someone could give me a quick lesson on the different ECU's. Which is the best and which is the most popular? I've only heard of Power FC but don't know anything about it. What does Pettit Racing mostly tune with being that I love close by them.

Lots of options. The list may go from a chip upgrade (where the stock ECU is upgraded from "inside" with a new chip to accommodate very moderate upgrades) to a replacement ECU like Power FC (where the stock ECU is replaced with a more capable one, and you can use the base map and tune the ECU along with adding more mods to the car) and finally to a standalone engine management system like Haltech which come with their own wiring harness, sensors etc. It all depends on your needs and budget.
What I know Power FC is very popular in the RX-7 world and is very capable. Probably you should call a rotary shop and ask them for an advice regarding your needs/budget etc.

Another great option. For stock replacement is the adaptronic select. A few vendors on here sell them. More updated than the power fc.

If you want Pettit to tune your car, call them and ask what they prefer.
