e6k for 13bpp?

lately i have been hearing things about the older haltechs,
i bought a e6k for a fc3s rx7 it was cheap thats why i bought it, it was brand new when it was put in the rx7 it came from, did 500ks then was crashed. it then sat for 11 years then was sent to haltech to get tested every thing was fine and they confirmed it was set up for a fc rx7. check my build thread for pictures of it how i got it.
i guess what im asking is it going to be suitable for my application?
i have a 13bpp running arctic cat snow mobile itb's with x2 1000cc bocsh injectors and will be getting ls7 coils for this set up
and how easy will it be to tune? i no nothing about this stuff im a carb guy gone efi lol

its going to be limited to a wastespark scenario.. probs best left with standard coil setup .... thats about your only handicap

what this old ECU will do... that even a new shitty micro cant... is have the user define the load axis of the look up tables.. ie,, chuck all the bin zones in the vacuum scale
the shitty microtech will only have 4,,, yes,, read 4 zones attributed to throttle position ,, or the 15, 10 , 5 and zero inch Hg vacuum maps ,,, while your venerable e6K will have all 16 there , should you chose so

personally i would think the more radical the engine porting is ( in NA engines ) then the more likely you will set up the engine for throttle position load, rather than vac scale

however,, having the ability to push all the look up table into vacuuum scales does give you infinately more tuneabilty than any microtech option

myself would be erring to stock coils and twin spark ,, perhaps giving a vacuum load scale a crack.. and if it proves too sensitive to fluctuating vacuums ,,, try a full TPS load tune
// for which you will need to hook up a s5 TB ( with full range TPS ) .. or mod the s4 TB to take a ford /bosch full range TPS

I have been looking for a ems for alittle over a year and just kept reading and comparing, even though its old i still really like the e6k, i might get blasted for giving my opinion but i dont care. I say you already have it so use it.

the loom came with a tps sensor on it. i tried matching it up with the arctic cat throttle body its completely different "aerosev" is doing all the work for me with this side of things and he wants to try use the tps on the throttle body before having to chuck the itb's on the mill to try and fit the haltech tps.

ok so is the waste spark a disadvantage with a a peripheral port engine?

going back to stock coil set up maybe a cheaper option for me witch i like the sound of. so the e6k will run the stock ignition/coil set up?
all so will the stock coils be ok for a peripheral port?

another question where do i get software for it?

other than that the tuning im not to worried about as the only performance shop in my city is a 30sec walk and they are all haltech guys down there so im going to get them to tune it once "aerosev" has installed it.

sorry if i sound like a knob its all new to me

well , above 9000 rpm, most wastespark HEI coils will be starting to fall off as charge time becomes limited
modding these coils to CDI will fix the issue for stupid rpms above that ( twin power etc )

if you do the CDI thing you will have plenty of spark for the PP.... havent seen any issue with wastespark on BP's with huge overlap.. should be fine
e6k will have "distributor mode" in the ignition setup .. and will configure the wiring to suit stock coils with toggle output for the FC trailing coil

off the net,, google will find one.. if not i have ( i think e6k V 717 and a few others ) it on the other PC
