Dominator EFI ECU

I'm just curious if anyone has used one on a 3rd gen application. It looks like a lot of features for the money and don't really know why it wouldn't work. Does anyone see something obvious that I'm overlooking that would make it not usable/ or has anyone used it to success. Thanks. :icon_tup:

Lack of split timing and 360* cycle support.

Thank you for the info. :icon_tup: Unfortunate since I've heard good things about it.

What specific options are you looking for? Everything the Holley Dominator can do is available from other manufacturers that are well proven and rotary engine compatible.

Ethanol control (analyzer compensation), supposedly one of the best traction control systems, not a ton of options that are small fortunes, safeguards, etc. I'm still not sure if VE tuning is a real benefit or not. I'm in over my head on ECUs so I rely upon friends for advice. Only friend with a 7 I have uses a Motec. Friends with other applications generally use HP Tuners, Motec, or AEM. That's where I got the idea for the Holley since they've seen some good things in their applications.

The Holley traction control requires the Davis box and it's a big dollar upgrade. So, price wise, it gets into an apples to apples comparison to something like Motec.

Syvecs does everything you want and has proven to work well with the rotary engine. Pro level traction control and knock control, E-85 compensation, failsafes, on board wideband, on board EGT, etc. It's not the least expensive system to get into. But it's an incredibly good system at a much lower price point than Motec with a pedigree and proven results on that same level.
