Trying to pick a ECU Haltech Elite Platinum or MS3 pro

Need the experts to help me decide a ECU. Here is my experiences and what im looking for.

I have a 82 with a 13b that was fuel injected with a haltech e8 and 4 barrel throttle body. E8 has been sold and I am in the process of installing a s4 turbo and intake manifold.

My thought is to stick with Haltech and buy a Elite 750 as soon as it is available. I was happy with the last one, I am familiar with the software and the wiring and the self tuning feature is the biggest bonus considering I am going to tune it my self like I did the last one but I will be able to let the ECU fine tune itself.

Problem is the Elite 750 isnt available yet, by the time I get one in my hands it will probably be March and that is pushing it a little late to my time line. I could just buy a Platinum 1000 that will do everything I need with out the self tuning but it will cost me the same if not a little more than the Elite 750 will.

I have a buddy going to Australia middle of February and he would be able to buy a Haltech for me there and bring it back, this has 2 advantages 1st he can pay in Australian dollars instead of USD and because of the shitty exchange on the Canadian dollar this will save me about $300 on a elite 750 and even more on the higher models 2nd IF the 750 is available in time for him to get it that means I will have it sooner... IF....

So all things equal do I hold out for a 750? Suck it up and spend the same on a older model Platinum 1000? Say **** the budget and buy a Elite 1500 (tempting but probably wont happen)? Or throw all reason out the window and buy a Megasquirt 3 Pro?

Looking for input from people that have used these systems.
Thanks

Just for perspective on cost here is what it will cost me right now in canadian dollars for each unit if bought new from the US:

Elite 750 $1700
Platinum 1000 $2000
Elite 1500 $2500
MS3 PRO $1700

Used is an option but the market on these seems a little dry right now....

The 750 won't be available in Australia any more quickly than it will be here. The exchange rate probably isn't going to help you. While the USD is up relative to the AUD, the MAP pricing in Australia is higher than it is in the US. When it comes out in the wash, you most likely won't save anything.

Your pricing isn't accurate. Drop me a PM if you'd like an accurate quote. If you're willing to spend $1700 on a 750, we can get you into a 1500 at a price that will make you happy.
